Integration Hub: Salesforce and Project Online Integration Scenario
Being an extensible Microsoft Azure SaaS platform, the FluentPro Integration Hub supports connectors to multiple platforms. In this post, we’ll cover the integration scenario between Salesforce and Microsoft Project Online.
Project Online + Salesforce
This integration scenario allows creating a new project automatically in Microsoft Project Online with a Project Manager assigned to it once the deal is closed and the Sales Manager creates a new project in Salesforce using a custom object. By running a synchronization, project updates in Project Online are applied to the projects and tasks in Salesforce and vice versa.

The current scenario comes in handy when Sales Managers use Salesforce to work with the sales pipeline and close deals; in order to get project updates, they need to talk directly to Project Managers who use Microsoft Project Online to manage projects.
To make communication more effective and automate data flows, project progress data from Microsoft Project Online is being made available to Sales Managers at all times.
How to start using the Integration Hub
Step 1 – Install the “Integration Hub” app from the SharePoint Store.
Step 2 –Configure Project Online to work with Integration Hub.
Step 3 – Use Integration Hub for scheduled synchronizations between your environments.
Integrating Microsoft Project Online with Salesforce allows Sales Managers with permanent access to have an accurate and up-to-date project status, thus allowing for improved communication within the organization. With such close-to-real-time visibility of project data, managerial functions are optimized and efficiently performed.
