How can I, as a customer access, the backup copies created by G.A. Suite?
Backup copies created by G.A. Suite can be stored in the following locations per customer’s choice: FluentPro Azure Storage, Customer’s Azure Storage, and Customer’s Amazon S3 bucket. These backups are encrypted, and a customer cannot decrypt them or access backup contents. To restore the backed-up data, the G.A. Suite Restore feature must be used.
Are the license limits applied to each PWA added to G.A. Suite?
No. The limit is for all PWAs added to G.A. Suite, not each.
What takes up the storage space?
The data that takes the most storage space are the backups of SharePoint Sites: documents, lists, etc.
Can several Project Online backup schedules run simultaneously?
Yes, you can have several backup schedules that run simultaneously. For example, you can have a weekly schedule to perform a full backup of all your PWA data and another schedule to perform a daily backup of the changes.
If several backups, copies, or other actions overlap, the G.A.Site backup solution will queue those actions and execute them individually.
What happens if a backup schedule starts, but a project is checked-out to a Project Online user?
A project being checked-out does not affect G.A. Suite’s work. G.A. Suite will not forcibly check-in or interfere with the work of PO users in any way.
If a Project Online user has saved their changes to the project but hasn’t published them, will G.A. Suite download the changes into a backup copy?
Yes. G.A. Suite saves the latest version of a project, not the published one.
Can several users access the G.A. Suite and manage Project Online backups?
Yes. One person from an organization registers a G.A. Suite account, and then they can invite other users to it. There is no limit to the number of users who can have access to G.A. Suite.
What happens if the Projects limit is exceeded in my account?
G.A. Suite sends notifications to the license owner both when the limit is approaching and is exceeded. The banner with this message will also appear on the UI.
Additionally, a Customer Success Manager assigned to your account monitors the license utilization and proactively reaches out to offer the next available subscription tier.
Where is my data geographically stored and processed with G.A. Suite?
Customers can select the region where G.A. Suite will store and process data in FluentPro Azure Storage in the following areas:
United States
Canada
Australia
European Union
The data will never leave the selected region and will be isolated from the other areas.
How long does it take for G.A. Suite to backup Project Online data?
Please note that amount of time required to process a backup action depends directly on the data volume and the PWA performance.
How can I speed up the backup process?
To speed up the overall backup/restore/copy process in G.A. Suite, you may use multi-credentials functionality. It is permitted to use up to 5 different account credentials simultaneously.
Can I use Azure Government Storage as a Custom storage for my backups in G.A. Suite?
Azure Government Storage is supported in On-Premises version of G.A. Suite.
